Beginning the week of April 24, 2023, Roblox Credit will
become localized for non-US users.
● Users who redeem a Roblox Gift Card after the
week of April 24, 2023, will receive Roblox Credit in
their account country’s local currency
○ Account country is determined by user
location during account creation.
● Users with a Roblox Credit balance over zero (0)
will have their balances converted from USD to
their country’s local currency.
● Users will experience a new and improved gift card
redemption flow at Roblox.com/redeem. The new
redemption experience is designed to simplify the
redemption process for Robux or Premium
Subscription products.
What is happening?
Redemption of Roblox Gift Cards will become currency locked
With the new change, users can only redeem Roblox Gift Cards that are sold in their
country's currency.
○ Example Scenarios:
■ Australian users will only be able to redeem cards denominated in AUD
(Australian Dollars). Japanese users will only be able to redeem in JPY (¥).
■ Users from France will be able to redeem cards denominated
in Euros regardless of which Eurozone country it was
purchased in (i.e. Germany, Italy, Spain etc.).
○ This aligns the Roblox redemption experience
with top global brands.
○ Our Customer Service team will assist users
who report issues with unredeemed cards.
